an old fashioned nightmare

2009-09-16

Well, the kids are driving me nuts in the neighborhood. They've even rang the doorbell and asked me if I would come out and play.

I think they think I'm a kid or something. I'm just too tired for that kind of stuff. Plus my car sounds really bad after Clive filled it up with oil. I'm really not having much luck with it, lately. And it'll just get worse with winter coming right around the corner.

Now we have to get our flu shots. So scary. One more thing to worry about. I work with someone who's been home all week just because of her allergies.

She's only a few years older than me and so set in her ways. Its really kind of funny. Sometimes. And one thing you don't ever want to do, is ask her if she noticed the cute guy who came in. She'll get furious as if you were trying to set her up or something.

I have a couple of co-workers who ask me if she's gay. I'm like, I wonder what they are thinking of me when I'm not around?

Anyway, I feel I'm in sort of this freaky vortex. If I could call it that. I mean, I have friends that have move on to Universities. Then I have some that are engaged. Even those with babies.

Like my one friend from high school who is in the so-called same boat as I am. Except, she can't stand living with her boyfriend even though they got engaged. Now she's decided she wants a baby so bad because his sister had a baby. I just can't be friends with her if that's all she's going to talk about. For one thing she can't really afford a kid. She can't even take care of her hyper cat. Now she wants a dog.

I guess we all have friends like her, or maybe its just me.
