2008-04-07

The bad weather hasn't gotten here yet. Rain..I hope and not snow in the forecast.

I have to remember GREEK is on tonight. Gotta watch it..but I've been a tad disappointed, lately. But of course not with Scott M. Foster.

David Cook

I found out from a guy at lunch that David Cook from American Idol is stealing arrangement from other cover bands to do his stuff. Something like that. Not sure I even believe him. Or even care. He is one of the best on American Idol.

Danny Noriega

I was listening to Danny Noriega sing "These Boots are Made For Walking" ..its really good, yet hilarious when I think about it. A guy like him singing that song. Hmmm...makes me wonder about him. Anyway..still think people would buy a cd if Rami and Danny made a cd together or if Jason was on it too.

Who knows maybe both of them will be hits all on their own. Hopefully, they will be.

I started reading Undoing a Marriage. It starts out a bit strange..candles lit on somebody's back. Not sure if that enough to keep me going or not.

I did read the first couple of paragraphs of Black Ships which is really really cool while at the library, but I couldn't check it out since someon else is now reading it. I'll have to put a hold on it.

Its about a girl who was born to be an "oracle"..makes you think of "300", kind of. But her mother was a daughter of a boatmaker in Troy and when the city fell, her mother was sent into slavery..its complicated..but not when you read it. It just all falls into place and you can't help but want to read more.

I wish I was the kind of person who could fall in love with any book. I rarely do. Maybe its because I have a short attention span. But I loved The Outsiders. I love most anything Melvin Burgess has ever written. I even loved Holden Caulfeld. So perhaps its the characters I fall for. Possibly, I'm missing the point totally when it comes to some books. I've had the hardest time getting into Jodi Piccoult books, and I have friends at school who carry her books around like the bible which is so much better than perhaps the one who loves her V.C. Andrews daily. I think she's read Flowers in the Attic over a hundred times since middle school. And I can hardly get through one of her books. I've tried so hard to enjoy Gossip Girl, but I just can't. Maybe I'm not fashion conscience enough, or the fact I keep losing the library book. Yet I love The Twilight series enough I'd love to write fan fiction about the main characters. I do like the Gossip Girl TV series and my friend who loves the books can't stand the show.
