dinner & a dvd

2008-02-09

I made a roasted chicken last night with a bunch of stuff like garlic, parsley, celery and celery inside it. It turned out better than I expected. And my mashed potatos were not too lumpy.
Moving McAllister Ben Gourley and Chandler Wakefield
Ben signing poster from Moving McAllister & with a fan.

We rented out Moving McAllister last night. I had seen a preview of it on IFC. Jon Heder is the comic relief, but Ben Gourley wrote it and starts in it as this Clark Kent type who moves the bosses daughter across country when he should be getting ready for the bar exam.

Its a tad cliche, yet it picks up on a real roadtrip, too and some beautiful dream sequence that the main character has. Jon Heder was a bit over the top. I get a feeling he might have been around Will Farrel too much from that movie he did with him. Some ghastly undie scenes with him. And for a moment you might even wonder in the waundering hitchiker (he plays) might be turned on by Ben, then the next thing he says..he's interested in Michelle (Mila Kunis). Its quirky and I have to say, Ben Gourley has a beautiful smile and can be so animated on screen. He was really addictive to watch in the film. Can't say its perfect, but glad I found it at Hollywood video.

Why am I up so early?. I'm suppose to do something with my sister today. And she said she'd be here by 7..which I highly doubt. I never ever have known her to get out of bed before 7 a.m. Then we are going somewhere shopping. I think. Just not sure what we're shopping for.
